Making amends (apologizing and asking for forgiveness) is an important part of the healing process during recovery from addictions. Unfortunately many people do not focus enough on learning to forgive themselves, which causes them to get stuck in part of their recovery because they feel unworthy. That's just a lie the devil has convinced many to keep telling themselves to the point that they convince themselves that it's true. However the truth is, the devil is a lie and we all need to learn to include ourselves when making amends during the recovery process.
